DNV GL has granted Wapice Oy an internationally recognized ISO/IEC 27001:2013 certification. ISO 27001 is an international standard that defines the requirements of information security management systems. The certification shows that Wapice takes care of information security and invests in risk management and continuous improvement in its information security development efforts.
— The ISO 27001 certification demonstrates to our customers that they can rely on the security of our services. We decided to formalize our information security management system because of the value our customers attach to information security and the growing ISO/IEC 27001 certification worldwide. With the certification, we can prove that our operations are up to the standard, says Markku Hänninen, Quality Manager at Wapice.
The certificate requires an official audit performed by a third party auditor. The purpose of the audit is to evaluate if the management system meets the requirements of the standard and whether it has been convincingly integrated into daily activities. At Wapice, the audit was conducted during 2019. The standard sets requirements for identifying and credibly managing risks to information assets in an organization.
