The year 2019 is a year of celebration at Wapice since the company celebrates its 20th anniversary. The company, which used to employ a few people, has grown over the years into a significant software company with ten offices around Finland and 340 employees.
Wapice was established in Vaasa in 1999, when the founding members noticed a major shortage in the industry: Finnish industrial companies lacked a software partner capable of implementing mobile remote management solutions. This need created a pioneer in industrial system solutions whose products enhance customer performance around the world.
Much has happened in the last twenty years and a major development has been made. From the beginning, our operations have been characterized by a broad scope and alongside software subcontracting, we have developed successful products. As a tribute to this development, Microsoft chose Wapice from its thousands of partners to be the winner in the category of Application Innovation in 2019, and the success is based on our own IoT-TICKET® product.
